Senior Pipe Fitter

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reading isometric and P&ID drawings to understand required fittings, wall thicknesses, pipe sizes, tees, elbows, reducers, flanges, etc.
• Prefabricating and assembling piping according to welder’s requirements regarding welding preferences
• Coordinate installation activities based on drawings at locations such as platforms, ships, petrochemical plants, etc.
• Installing piping using shut-off valves, one-way valves, check valves, etc., and the correct use of gaskets, nuts and bolts
• Applying pipe supports to piping systems to ensure stability
• Measuring and drawing piping when drawings are not available and independently install
• Perform hydrotests and pressure tests on piping systems using appropriate pressure and temperature data logging equipment

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience as a pipe fitter, preferably in prefabrication
• Knowledge of various piping materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, copper nickel iron alloy, duplex steel
• Ability to work accurately and follow specifications
• Ability to work independently and solve problems
• Safety and quality certifications and training are a plus
